百灵鸟在歌唱

鲁迅在他的《从百草园到三味书屋》中写道：轻捷的叫天子（云雀）忽然从草间直窜向云霄里去了。这段和雪莱《致云雀》里描写的差不多
From the earth thou springest 
Like a cloud of fire; 
The blue deep thou wingest, 
And singing still dost soar, and soaring ever singest.
看来老头观察挺仔细，靠写作赚大钱绝非偶然。

云雀就是百灵鸟，百灵鸟叫的婉转动听，好像是在说百灵百灵。英语怎么表示百灵鸟叫呢？莎士比亚的《冬天的故事》给出了答案：The lark, that tirra-lyrra chants。
英语中百灵鸟的叫声为tirra-lyrra。这也不是莎翁的原创，是跟法国诗人龙萨学的。
