Threshold for Options Automatic Exercise is Now 5 Cents
The Options Clearing Corporation (OCC) has reduced the automatic exercise threshold for in-the-money equity options at expiration. The new threshold is $0.05 (it was formerly $0.25). The threshold for index options remains $0.01. To submit a do not exercise request of a long option position, contact us by 4:30 p.m. ET on the last trading day for the options contracts.
