The Cranberries rose to international fame in the 1990s with their debut album,
Everybody Else Is Doing It, So Why Can't We?, which became a high commercial
success and sold over five million copies in the United States. The group was one
of the most successful rock acts of the '90s and sold over 14.5 million albums in
the United States alone. The band has achieved four top 20 albums on the Billboard
200 chart (Everybody Else Is Doing It, So Why Can't We?; No Need To Argue; To
the Faithful Departed and Bury the Hatchet) and eight top 20 singles on the Modern
Rock Tracks chart ("Linger", "Dreams", "Zombie", "Ode to My Family", "Ridiculous
Thoughts, "Salvation", "Free To Decide" and "Promises"). On hiatus from 2003 until
reuniting in 2009.

The Cranberries卡百利乐队是一个來自爱尔兰(爱尔兰是以英语为主要语言的
欧洲音乐重镇)的知名搖滾乐队，与U2、Sinead O'Connor、Enya等一样, 都是
带领爱尔兰音乐走向世界的重要力量。

The Cranberries受到人們喜爱与女主音Dolores是分不开的. 她出身于一个天主
教家庭，三岁起就开始唱歌, 因此练就了一副天使般的嗓子, 尤其是她独特的
咽音发声, 更是受到后来的一些女歌手相继的模仿(比如王菲)。
