it's almost time to go to the field.
i am a little scared. i am drifting.
for one, i must leave so many things behind, and that means many things will leave me.
this is one thing about time and memory. once you leave, you could never come back.
while i used to write "the once upon a time" into "once upon a time", i no longer desire to do that, knowing that to write them down is to forever leave them behind in texts. what a cruel thing to do. what a cruel thing to do. is life not cruel enough already that one must actively participate in the process of passing?
