After our talk about weddings and childbirth, Olivia moved on to the issue of kissing. Why not, we've already covered most everything already.
She first mentioned that one boy at school in particular follows her around and tries to kiss her. "You don't let him kiss you, do you?" I asked.
"I don’t!" she protested, "But sometimes he does it so fast that I just can't stop him. I raise up my arm but it's too late."
"Are you sure about this Olivia? You remember what I told you about no boys kissing you unless they ask Daddy's permission first? I don't want any boys kissing you."
"I know Daddy. He says he's my boyfriend. He says he's going to follow me to my wedding."
"Follow you to your wedding? Do you mean he's going to marry you or just follow you to your wedding?" I asked, thinking of the scene with Dustin Hoffman in The Graduate where he shows up at his ex-girlfriend's wedding and starts banging on the glass.
"He says he wants to marry
"Well, maybe someday. But right now I don't want any kissing," I said.
"I know, Daddy." she said. "Anyway whenever I see kissing, I'm mm-barrassed."
Olivia tends to pronounce embarrass as mm-barrass. She also gets a shy look when she says this word and starts to blush, it's cute.
"I'm mm-barrassed when people kiss in public. I'm mm-barrassed when you or Mommy kiss me in public," she said. "I'm mm-barrassed when you kiss Evan too."
"And I'm REALLY mm-barrassed when you kiss Mommy," she said.
