My friend K in China told me today her father is having lung cancer: Doctor told us he doesn’t have too much time left to live... K is struggling if she should tell her father the truth or not. Her mother died when she was in high school.
I understand in western culture the patient has the right to know the truth of cancer diagnosis. In China, physicians tend to go along with non-disclosure requests from families to avoid patient conflict.
To tell or not to tell. It’s hard for me to decide....K signed. I don’t know the answer either...
All I know is life is a one way ticket. Enjoy your ride when you still can.
