The Tchaikovsky Violin Concerto was performed by violinist Lisa Batiashvili during the 2018 Nobel Prize Concert, under the direction of Karina Canellakis and the Royal Stockholm Philharmonic Orchestra. On December 8, 2018, the concert took place at Sweden's Stockholm Concert Hall.

One of the most well-known and cherished pieces in the violin repertoire is the Tchaikovsky Violin Concerto. It was written in 1878 and dedicated to the esteemed violinist and educator Leopold Auer by Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky. The concerto is divided into three sections: the first, which is distinguished by its soaring melodies and technical challenges; the second, a lyrical and expressive slow movement; and the third, a vivacious and virtuosic dance-like conclusion.

A well-known violinist from Georgia named Lisa Batiashvili has performed with some of the top orchestras and conductors in the world. She is renowned for her emotive playing and technical prowess and has received numerous prizes and plaudits for her concerts and recordings.

The Nobel Prize Concert is a yearly celebration of Nobel Week that takes place in Stockholm, Sweden. Nobel laureates, members of the royal family, and other important visitors attend the concert, which comprises performances by internationally known musicians. The 2018 Nobel Prize Concert was streamed live online and on television, and it has subsequently been made accessible on a number of streaming services.

When Tchaikovsky had finished the piece, he handed it to the violinist he intended to have play it in it's debut. The guy (Leupold or something similar) said something to the effect, "Dude a little heads up would have been nice. Nobody can play this!!" A fairly young Jascha Heifitz (sp?) grabbed it and said I'll take that and play it!! That is the end of my little ancecdote!!
