NUTS IS NOT A MUSICAL. I appreciate that most of the Streisand movies appear for free on youtube movies from time to time. This one, while not the best of Streisand's movies, the subject matter was ambitious at the time. She followed it years later with the Prince of Tides, where she played the psychiatrist. It is admirable that she stepped out of her comedy medium to address mental illness via entertainment to shed light on it. She had the power to do this meaningfully and succeeded.

I never realized how badly her stepfather and his cronies in the justice system tried to railroad Claudia. This movie is right up there with Awakenings, the Quick and the Dead, and Fire in the Sky. All some of my favorite movies.
