This morning I decided to take a walk outside for a change. I usually walked on the treadmill at home, because it seemed more efficient in terms of time management, and I could walk while cooking or doing laundry, and didn’t have to spend time on driving from home to the walking trail.
So there I was, walking in the trail this morning. I was determined to push all thoughts out of my mind and focus on my surroundings. I could feel a cool breeze blowing on my face, heard a bird singing among the trees, and saw a caterpillar crawling on the ground, as if my five senses were suddenly sharpened, and a once familiar trail seemed to become a totally different one – a place full of life, colors, and wonders.
What a luxury it is to have a walk while most of people are at work or in school! The playground was empty and the trail was quiet, and I could hear the echo of my footsteps. Suddenly I was overwhelmed by the feeling that the world is such a fantastic place, and there are so many opportunities to see beautiful things.
Then I thought to myself: I will come here often to take a walk.
