在麻州西北著名的观赏秋叶 Mohawk Trail 上 （2号路西北段）有一个美丽的小山镇叫 Shelburne Fall。之前并不了解，旅游书上这样说，小镇值得一停，可作小歇，喝杯咖啡，随意走走。最近新英格兰地区阴雨连连，最佳观叶季节就这样被雨打风吹去了。不甘心，周末起个大早，赶往 Mohawk Trail。从Boston 开两个多小时后，第一站便在 Shelburne Fall 落脚，本来如书上所说，只想停一停，伸伸胳膊腿，再弄杯咖啡上路。不想眼前一亮，心里打了好几个惊叹号。清晨云雾缭绕, 正是日出时间，可惜少有阳光，闻着湿湿的山野空气，清爽舒服，四处走走拍拍，不觉呆了几个小时。镇子不大，两大特色，慢慢道来。

（一）花桥 The Bridge of Flowers

多孔桥，一座窄窄的歩行桥，不走车辆，其上种满了各种鲜花，春夏天来走走这桥会更美，山城的第一特色。眼前的画面让我有回到中国的感觉。The World Famous Bridge of Flowers.  In 2009, 34,346 visitors from around the globe walked over the Bridge of Flowers and signed the guestbooks - a 62.8% increase over the previous year! All 50 states were represented in the 2009 season while the number of foreign countries/islands was 91.
