In other news, today's weekly Jobless Claims showed a drop of -12,000 new claims to 267,000, well under the estimate for 279,000.
The Consumer Price Index (less food and energy), with a reading of 1.7% (down from last month's 1.8%), once again confirmed that inflation is not a concern at the moment.
And the Leading Indicators report, with their better than expected print of 0.7% (vs. expectations for 0.4%) underscored the narrative that the economy is indeed rebounding from last quarter's -0.7% contraction.
The market smartly moved higher today, and are all poised to make new all-time highs tomorrow.
