Today is Tuesday. It’s sunshine in my area.

I decided to resume this column. Actually I wrote it to myself . This is the best way to force me to study and follow up the stock market. Sometimes I may post it for fun and reference.

Today, The stock market spent most of the session trading without clear direction as participants took a bit of a breather following the previous session’s heady advance.

Broader indexes slipped as the market again took its direction from the dollar. Stocks drove higher Monday as the dollar weakened and slipped Tuesday as the currency rose.

The bond market is closed Wednesday for Veteran's Day though the stock market will be open.

Crude oil fell 38 cents to settle at $79.05 per barrel on the New York Mercantile Exchange, while gold rose.
