A moving moment

It's a good idea to write down and cherish this moving moment happened today in the office.

Mr. Twig is a very nice gentelman. He is about sixty years old, not rich but with very good manners. He has been on time for his every appointment and had never complained about waiting time. He sees me not only as a professional in lab coat, but also a young lady who needs support and encouragement. His kindness, patience and tolerance is in sharp contrast to many other demanding and complaining patients. But he is apparently depressed for some reason. I didn't ask. But every time with him, I always try my best to give him the warm care. I dont know why God let this kind gentlman suffer so much.

Today, I finished all treatment for him. Before leaving, he gave me a big hug, kissed on my hair and said" you are the best!". Iwas shocked for one secnd and then I hugged back tightly, giving back my sincere appreciation and blessing. This is the best reward I had for almost two years working in the office. It's a real and deep connection between me and one of my be loved patients.

And this moment reminds of another patient when I was at school, Mr. Lopez. I lost contact with him because I have so many "important" relationships to maintain. Mr. Lopez just had stroke not long time ago when he first saw me for treatment. He couldn't barely walk and was in severe depressed and toxic state. It must have been my true care that brightened his soul. He worked on his diet and recovery. He came to his appointment happily every time, despite my repeating the same restoration for four times. A few months later, he not only walked without the stick but also changed back to that fancy-looking photographer with bright-colored shirt and neckless...

Not only improve health but also life, just as many great health care providers promoted. It's the happiness you can taste only when you can devote enough and entail enough. I didn't taste much because I didn't realize that not every one is kind and "easy" like Mr. Twig and Mr. Lopez, but still they are under my care.  Ready to be bigger? It wont' be easy.
