My HS junior has been accompanying his church choir every Sunday for about two years now. Last week, the church music director met a family friend of ours and mistook the friend as my wife, and told her excitingly "I am so proud of your son, and I wish I could convince him to stay here for college.” My friend said “Oh, you must be referring to Nate, I will relay the message to his mom ” Though my wife goes to the same church, the music director has only met her twice. Mistakes happen.
Another family friend told my wife “Do you know that your son give me a hug during the football game on Friday night?” My wife replied that she did not know, and she was pleasantly surprised by the remark. That was indeed good to hear. It does not seem like the boy who yells back at his mom at home. The truth is, he is a young gentleman outside our little nest.
It is so difficult to convince him to review some books he himself asked us to buy for him. The books are still where they were, collecting dust.
