2, Burning the candle at both ends. You are burning the candle at both ends when you are working long hours without resting. 
Ever since this new project started, I have been burning the candle at both ends,  I can't take much more of it.

3. Blind leading the blind. Someone who doesn't understand something trying to explain to others.
I tried to explain how the software works, but it was a case of the the blind leading  the blind, really.

4, put a sock in it. an impolite way ot telling someone to be quiet.
