抵制CNN, “声讨Cafferty” 全美华人大行动

东部时间四月九日晚6点,CNN主持人Jack Cafferty 在 Wolf Blitzer 主持的 “The
Situation Room” 中发表了侮辱全体中国人的无耻言论。他说“他们(中国人)基本
上还是五十年来的那群恶棍和暴徒。”(见附录)

是可忍,孰不可忍?!!!如果我们不对这种极端的辱华言论加以痛击的话,以后就会
有越来越多的主流媒体加以效仿,华人的尊严何在?!地位何在?!现在已经不是排华
法案盛行的年代了,更不是“华人与狗不得入内”的岁月。那些对华人的歧视深入骨髓
的老朽们应该被清洗了!是时候了!是我们中国人应该发出怒吼的时候了。这不是最后
的吼声,是因为强大而使对手战栗的吼声!LIA (www.legalimmigrant.org)作为新生
的代表中国移民利益的政治组织,号召旅美华人行动起来,一起谴责Cafferty,直到让
他被解雇为止!虽然我们不一定能达到目标,但是我们至少要放手一搏!

具体计划如下:

行动策略:
只针对Cafferty 一人一事,不针对CNN的新闻误导。后者属于立场问题,而前者属于纪
律问题。就象在BBS发帖,你可以持极端观点而自由发言,但是骂人就肯定被封。
Cafferty口出秽语,犯了新闻评论的大忌,应当受到惩罚!另一方面,现在旅美华人的
声音还没有强大到能冲击整个CNN的地步。我们要一步一步来,先突破Cafferty 这一点。

需要您做的事情:
1. 到LIA 网站(www.legalimmigrant.org)上电子签名。LIA会把承载着千万个签名的
声讨函发给CNN 和FCC。

2. 到LIA 网站上下载模版: “How to File a Complaint against CNN to FCC”。按
照模版中的提示到FCC 网站上(http://fjallfoss.fcc.gov/cgb/fcc475B.cfm)file compliant. 注意:请对模版内容稍加改动,避免千篇一律。

3. 到LIA 网站上下载模版 “How to fax or write CNN”。按模版提供的CNN Contact
info 发传真或写信(email 的效果要差一些)。注意对模版的内容稍加改动。

4. 到LIA网站上下载模版 “English news tip by LIA” 和”Chinese news tip by
LIA”。请分别发给你当地的英文和中文媒体。LIA会负责联系几大新闻网的总部。模版
内容不用改动。

5. 联系你当地的华人团体(联络信的模版很快就会准备好)和华人名流。要求他们和
我们共同声讨Cafferty。

据说在美华人有300万,这次只要有3千人行动起来,就能让CNN的传真机上堆积如山,
让FCC的Inbox里全是 Cafferty 的名字,让主流媒体前来关注。打倒Cafferty,我们需
要您的行动!


附录:CNN 主持人Jack Cafferty 在四月九日发表的辱华言论行动全文:

Jack Cafferty “Well, I don't know if China is any different, but our
relationship with China is certainly different. We're in hawk to the Chinese
up to our eyeballs because of the war in Iraq, for one thing. They're
holding hundreds of billions of dollars worth of our paper. We also are
running hundred of billions of dollars worth of trade deficits with them, as
we continue to import their junk with the lead paint on them and the
poisoned pet food and export, you know, jobs to places where you can pay
workers a dollar a month to turn out the stuff that we're buying from Wal-
Mart. So I think our relationship with China has certainly changed. I think
they're basically the same bunch of goons and thugs they've been for the
last 50 years.”

首先向三藩的兄弟姐妹致以崇高的敬意!

CNN这次的表现,大家都看到了。死不悔改,其中的几个主持人的卑鄙恶劣行径已经让
人发指,忍无可忍。

以下是和CNN算帐的初步方案,只是想到了,征求大家意见,集思广益。

我们的要求如下,不多:
1,CNN就此次严重的失实,甚至故意抹黑中国和中国人民的报道,正式道歉。
2,这次CNN内部具体负责这些报道的某一(几)位编辑,或者更上级主管编辑,got to
go.

如果一定时间内(可以暂定1个月)不能给我们满意的答复,我们只好采取如下对应办
法:

Who:发挥我们人多力广的优势,集中火力,抓个典型,这次就是CNN,可以更具体到
Jack Cafferty或者Lou Dobbs(注意不要四面出击,要充分利用各媒体之间的竞争)。

Why:这还用说吗? 任何一个对自己的国家和民族有感情的人,都清楚为什么要搞CNN
吧!

How:如果CNN死不认错,甚至变本加厉抹黑中国,我们就象国内广大同胞发出呼吁,认
清CNN新闻时Jack Cafferty或者Lou Dobbs栏目里的广告(一般这些广告都是大公司的
广告,很多在中国有业务),抵制这些商家的产品。因为美国新闻节目维持下去的唯一
赞助来源就是这些广告,我们不能一方面容忍这些主持人对我们肆意抹黑,却舒舒服服
的接着维持他们生计的广告。

通过此举,向CNN施加压力。当然,我们对公司和商家的策略不能是威慑贺施压,那样
不是我们的目的,也不一定起到效果,而是动之以情,晓之以理,告诉他们要考虑到中
国大众的感情,要认识到中国人民对CNN这两个主持人的愤怒,这个时候在他们的节目
上播出广告,是不智的,也是不划算的。同样的广告花费,去别的新闻媒体播出也能收
到效果,何苦在CNN这档节目上,白白和15亿中国人民过不去呢。要给他们举例子,这
几天,因中国民众抗议,广告有支持藏独嫌疑,可口可乐立即撤掉了在德国的一个过期
广告,并明确声明绝无支持藏独的意思。(我们通过这个也能看到,我们人民的力量是
任何一家美国大企业所不能模式的)

具体做的工作很多,需要大家配合,具体工作:

1,和国内anticnn或者天涯等各大论坛沟通,协调后,随时准备上传贴抵制CNN节目相
关广告(也不要涉及面太多,几个就好)的帖子,让国内同学,联系国内500强企业的
公关部门,给他们?岳?Γ?蜃懿糠从澄侍獾难现匦裕?性贑NN上述栏目播出广告的
,马上停掉。要充分调动国内广大人民的热情和积极性,他们的声音是确保我们此举制
胜的关键。
2,美国的同学,电话和email各家媒体和各大公司的公关部门(尤其是在上述两个主持
人栏目中做广告的公司),尤其是和CNN竞争激烈的媒体,披露我们的上述计划,就是
Chinese people boycott CNN in their own way. 这个具体的英文信件我可以来写。
大家往美国各级各地媒体发,就当是提供新闻素材,让他们向CNN求证,尤其是华尔街
日报的记者,都有email的,可以直接发这种press release, 通过广泛的人民战,搞乱
CNN阵脚,让他们风声鹤唳,听到我们放鞭炮,也以为是在打枪。
相信美国这些企业也会明白的,何苦呢,花了同样的钱,买15亿中国老百姓不痛快,哪
里不能做广告啊,非要给CNN的这两个老顽固啊。
也要相信美国媒体对CNN这个竞争对手不会手软,就当看热闹,个别的落井下石也不能
排除。

When:现在就开始准备资料,上面的工作需要人手,大家谁愿意义务帮手的,大大欢迎
(比如整理各地媒体和大公司联系方式,和国内anticnn等大论坛的沟通,要充分发动
我们广大人民的力量)。 当然,这只是我的一点粗浅的建议,或许有不符实际的地方
,但我确实是想了又想,看到CNN此次如此丑陋的嘴脸,我们能无动于衷吗? doing
something always better than doing nothing.

当然是抛砖引玉,欢迎大家提出更好的方案,奥运还有几个月,我们不能任由CNN继续
抹黑,为了我们自己在海外的尊严,为了我们国家和我们民族的尊严,我们要行动起来!

我们个人的力量是微不足道的,但我们团结起来,就能战胜那些丑陋的人和事。我们三
藩的兄弟姐妹们这次杰出的表现,让我们每个人深受感染,并备受鼓舞。

突然想到,周五了,如果不马上搞CNN,一拖就是下星期了,不行,要承认打铁,把
Jackass搞下马,大家齐头并进,多方施加压力,我们每个人的力量是有限的,但团结
起来,我们就能战胜一切丑陋的敌人。

我加急写的,措辞你们可以发之前稍微修改下, 发到美国各个新闻媒体,传真也好,
email也好,都行, 还有各个大公司,尤其是Fortune 500的, 尤其是现在在Jackass
栏目做广告的。
但是不要修改太多,措辞和语气我已经斟酌再三了, 应该是有理有利有节了,而且目
标针对性强,大家集中优势火力,一个一个的灭,先不要四面出击。

拜托,大家了, 让我们齐心协力!!!

News Release--Chinese to boycott products of CNN's advertisers

Waking up in the morning, CNN's advertisers might feel inscrutable that their products have already been on Chinese people's boycott lists.

Stunned and shocked by a racist and hatred remark on the Chinese people by CNN's commentator Jack Cafferty in "the Situation Room" aired on April 9th, the Chinese are fighting back by boycotting products of CNN's advertisers—those who are airing advertisements during Cafferty's show time.

Cafferty charged the Chinese people with a highly despicable assault by saying, "They (Chinese) are basically the same bunch goons and thugs they have been in the past fifty years." (http://trans.cnn.com/TRANS/0804/09/sitroom.03.html)

The new campaign against CNN is just an escalated version of the "tit for tat" campaign in response to Cafferty's previous insult and CNN's recent coverage on the Olympic relay in Paris, London and San Francisco, which is overwhelmingly condemned by the Chinese community as ungrounded and defamatory.

The appeal, circulated on the internet and bulletin boards, indicates that a strong patriotic reaction among the Chinese people has been ignited. This time around, CNN is the target.

The more advertising bucks are poured here on CNN, the worse marketing will be expected there in China: The counter productive results the advertisers are afraid of. In recent years, most of the Fortune 500 companies have made targeted advertisement campaigns in China, a country with more than 1.3 billion potential customers.

The boycott statement urged CNN’s advertisers to understand Chinese people’s feelings against Cafferty’s comments while it did mention that the campaign doesn’t target any companies who are sponsoring other CNN programs, “at this point we Chinese consider it (Cafferty’s comments) unacceptable for advertisers to air their ads on Cafferty's show time”.

Till now, no apology has been heard from Mr. Jack Cafferty. CNN has neither made any clear
statements nor taken any actions since. Many have wondered how the media will handle the new controversy exactly a year after Don Imus was fired due to his racist comments on the Rutgers female basketball team.

Earlier this week, Coca Cola withdrew one of its advertisements in Germany that stirred the ire of many Chinese people who criticized the intention of pro-Tibet-Independence and urged the public to boycott the brand.

The poster - spotted in a German railway station - shows Buddhist monks on a rollercoaster with the slogan: "Make it real".

A spokesperson from Coca Cola stated on April 9th, " This was certainly not our intention ... The old image was being used in the window of a shop in Bremen and has since been taken down ..."
