【大湖一语闲言02】A 'Longines' watch! 英语杂感:网评林志玲法网代言名表,

"Elegance, both of a watch, and an oriental beauty ! "  


  

Hard to describe how pretty it is as a watch , but easy to say it's nice. Watch brands spend huge amount of money every year on celebrities, oriental or Blondie Europeans. Pretty as they are, they add value to the brand name as well as the brands did on them.  

Also, difficult to say why oriental people are so keen on the value that a single time piece can tell, like the one on her wrist. or  "Longines", as we may see on her tennis hat.  

Careful readers might get the answer by it's Chinese translation: "浪琴"-means A Piano's Romance. Yes, a beautiful name for a time piece. Both men and women can hardly resist the temptation to have one. Me too, looking at my limited piece of a Navigator model called "Pioneer" as I recall it's name. To those language lovers, it is really a rarely good example for brand name in Chinese version.  

Not to let myself fall too deep into the some old memories, or story of a sort, I look at the photography in this piece of news: it's pity that the watch did show well to it's full size in the picture. Quite big one, another new trend in lady's watch design? little heavy on her hand, but eye-catchy in deed!  

People might agree that beauty, human or non-human, some times requires sometimes the appreciation deeply from inside, and is beyond the language, which meets it's limitation to express the appreciation by people who process them.  

Watches, are belong to those article brought in great value, but has human emotion evolved in. Swiss people are really smart as to have developed the goods, and names not only built in it's utility but human emotions as well.  

Stories vary and numerous on watches, father to son, or mother to daughter, and lovers to their hearty ones. Oriental are known many centuries back for a machine to be made never stop to tell the time, so i guess it's deeply rooted motive for having a good-valued watch.  

Sports grounds are another battle field for the brand names. Tennis mostly played by individuals, man and woman, explores their beauty psychically and spiritually, speaks the most elegant languages among all other sports. A nice shot captured when the start sits or jumps, or at moment when ready to serve the ball really attracts people's attention to what they wear on their wrist.   

It’s easier for us to discover the relevant value in theirs with those on the star's. People forget or never brother to think how hard to make a watch, on which, the hours of concentration in piling up about hundreds of parts into it's final shape, but very easily they connect the celebrities with themselves, by a looking at their watches in hands. And it really does not matter if they can't play tennis at all. 

Me too, I looked at my watch again, and returned a look at this piece of news, the sweetie memories of a trip made with my partner many years ago in Swiss brought a smile in my face.

法国网球公开赛正在巴黎举行,某瑞士钟表品牌自去年起开始赞助这项比赛。今年,该品牌特别安排全球代言人林志玲在结束其戛纳电影节行程后于5月30日前往巴黎观赛。

  当天这位“台湾第一美女”特地换上蓝色poloT恤配白色短裙,露出修长双腿,清新俏丽地出现在众人面前,笔直的后背和完美的身材也仿佛证明上帝造人时的刻意垂青。在世界时尚之都的繁华地段,林志玲的到来掀起了一阵不大不小的旋风,引得见多识广的巴黎人纷纷侧目。只听人群不断有人惊呼,“太漂亮了,她太美了!”

  没想到,林志玲来到法网赛场还有意外收获。当天适逢中国台湾的网球女选手庄佳容与以色列的男选手刚打赢一场混双比赛,赢球后,庄佳容听说有一位台湾的林姓模特也在会场,便和父亲前往探访,一看是林志玲,庄佳容像个小影迷似的、害羞留下两人难得的合影,林志玲也分享了庄佳容的喜悦。 

主办单位还安排现年19岁、目前法国排名第一的网球选手Richard Gasquet教林志玲发球,林志玲架式十足地试过几个发球动作后,即顶着艳阳前往场边观赛约10分钟,随即离席接受亚洲媒体的专访。有记者问志玲怎么看待即将举行的北京奥运会,林志玲说很期待,但是有点沮丧地说,不过还没有买到票。问她最喜欢什么体育项目时,林志玲像个小孩子似的兴奋起来,“我要看体操、我要看体操!”

在欧洲的工作告一段落,林志玲第二天一早便奔赴香港参加6月1日的赈灾音乐义演。
