Homemade Gnocchi with pine nuts and rosemary breadstickGnocchi is famous Italian pasta. It is made of potatoes and flour. They are
gourmet food. Sometime you can find them in the
refrigerator section in a high end grocery store. But make it at home is whole lot better than store bought, as everything else.
If you forgot to start dinner roll early, you might like this quick rosemary breadsticks. They are simple to make, quick, easy and delicious.
土豆泥猫耳朵是著名的意大利pasta。主要是用土豆泥和面粉做的。是一种特殊的Pasta。一般可以在比较高档的食品店买到。它们通常放在冷藏的架子上。当然自己家做的要比买的好吃好多好多。
如果你忘记了发面做晚餐面包,你也许会喜欢这道快速Rosemary面包棍。好做又美味。
Like I said early, Gnocchi is made of potatoes and flour. Let's start potato first. 1 to 2 lb of potatoes either baked or boiled. Baked is better, less moisture. Cut into small pieces and mix in with flour.
我在前面已经说了土豆泥猫耳朵主要是用土豆泥和面粉做的。让我们先从土豆做起。1到2磅的土豆在烤箱里烤好或去皮煮好。烤的比煮的好,湿度小。土豆切小块加面粉和匀。
Make dough shape. Roll each dough to a rope shape. Cut each rope to many small pieces, about 2/3 inch big.

Now the real work starts. Use a folk and a finger roll each small piece as indicated below. Use a finger push a small dough from up to the end of the folk tip. It is fun to do it. Then, boil them in the hot water. Remember, add some salt into the water.
准备就绪,工作刚刚开始。所用工具是食指和一只叉子。取一小面团放在叉子上用食指向叉子的尖上推。这样面团就卷了起来,并有叉子的印印。做起来很有趣. 一点都不难。都做好后用开水煮好滤掉水待用。
Here are all you need for making this Gnocchi with pine nuts: Bacon cut into small pieces, chopped onion, chopped red pepper, green pepper, fresh rosemary and toasted pine nuts.
下图是做松仁土豆泥猫耳朵的全部配料。Bacon切小块。洋葱红椒,青椒切丁,rosemary切碎,松仁烤熟。
Heat a heavy bottom pan with 2 table spoon of olive oil.
sauté onion, add bacon pieces later. Add chopped red and green peppers and sautee for another 5 minutes until they are cooked.
取一厚底锅加热到中高热,加入2勺橄榄油。慢炒洋葱,加bacon,炒熟,再加红椒,青椒丁。最后炒5分钟直到炒熟。
Add cooked Gnocchi. Season with salt and fresh grounded pepper. Top with pine nuts and fresh rosemary.
加入煮好的Gnocchi。用盐和新鲜的胡椒粉调好味。最后撒上烤熟的松仁和rosemary。
Now, let me show you how to make some easy quick rosemary breadsticks.
现在我们来做快速Rosemary面包棍。
1/3 cup butter
2 and 1/4 cup flour
2 table spoon freshly grated Parmesan cheese
1 tablespoon sugar
3 and 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
1 cup milk
1 table spoon fresh rosemary or 1 teaspoon dried rosemary
1/2 teaspoon finely chopped fresh garlic
Mix together with flour, cheese, sugar and baking powder in a medium bowl. Stir in milk, just until moistened.
将面粉,cheese,糖和发粉混合均匀,加入牛奶直到和成面团。
Turn dough onto lightly floured surface. Knead until smooth. Roll dough into 12x6-inch rectangle. Cut into strips about 1.5 inches wide. Twist each strip 5 to 6 times and arrange them on a lined baking sheet. See pictures below.
将面团倒出放在洒了面粉的平面。揉好。然后擀成12x6的长方行的面片。切成1.5英寸宽的长条。每条卷5到6圈。见下图。放在铺上不粘纸的烤盘中。
Stir rosemary and garlic into melted butter in small container. Brush the mixture on each of twisted strips. Bake them in a pre heated oven at 400F for 15 to 20 minutes
用一只小碗,融化奶油,加入rosemary和蒜末。搅匀。涮在每个面包条上。放入已经加热好的烤箱中,400F烤15到20分钟。
Here they are. 烤好了的样子。还不难看吧。
