Mike was laughing. He jumped up and down and laughed. He and his friends were going surfing! But there was a problem. He was extremely F.A.T. F as in Fat, A as in fAt, T as in faT, and unbalanced. As he and his friends lumbered off the van, they headed toward the water.
“Hey guys!”, Mike yelled over the noise of the rushing water splashing into the harbor. “A big wave is coming!”. Indeed it was. Mike and his friends all swam for the big wave. But then it got super-BIG! “AAAH!” Mike’s friend cried. “TSUNAMI!!”. “Cool!”, Mike cheered. “I’ll be the first one to surf a tsunami!”. But Mike didn’t really believe that the wave was a tsunami. “WEE!” he cried paddling on his surfboard to the tsunami. “WEE-AAARRGHH!”. The tsunami engulfed Mike and he went under. “GLUGLUGLUGLUGLUGLUGLUG!” Mike lost his air and became unconscious. He woke up and screamed.
The next gigantic wave was coming! Mike totally lost consciousness then. The tsunami passed Mike and destroyed most of the town.
1 day later…
“Wake up, young man!” a coast guard said. Mike awoke and took one look at the city. “OH MY LORDS GOLD!”
he shrieked. “W-w-w-What ha-hap-p-pend?” “The tsunami destroyed town while you were asleep” the coast guard replied.
The city was as bad as ever!! Because of downed power lines, the church was on fire, all the houses were torn apart, there was water and sand everywhere, the bridges were all collapsed, and Mike was covered with seaweed and a clam was stuck to his arm.
He was also completely naked. The water had ripped his clothes away from him. He and the life guard walked through the wrekage site. Mike was still stunned.
“Mike! You need to take a bath right now, mister!” Mike’s mom commanded. “But there’s no bath system!” Mike replied. “Oh, we’ll just use the tide then”, said Mike’s mom. So they took a bath. Then, they planned to move to New York for a better future. Later, Mike became more sensitive to look for tsunamis and was perfect with surfing.
