Correct parameters are necessary but not sufficient for a good photograph. It is the first and an important step. It is also a relatively easy step. Those who argue that parameters are not important have probably graduated from this step and think this is too trivial to be bothered with.
1. While I was taking this photo, another DSLR user on the left side of this photo was also photographing this scene, with the wrong parameters. How do I know her parameters were wrong? Because she was using flash!
