you write:
With a technique, your just that little split second slower at the
draw, compared with a good communicator. And that leaves you at a
disadvantage when you want to outwit, out argue, persuade and
convince people. Life is like a horse race with a photo finish. The
winner is not much faster than second place, its that little
fraction extra every time that makes the difference.
I respond:
plz read my other message first- -but then, understand-- That
might've been YOUR experience w/ YOUR technique, but it is not mine--
It might've been at the 1 yr mark-- but not now--at the 3 year
mark... I assure you that I am no slower nor any different than I
would be in any other way. I further assure you that my life is not a
race---and that I move at the speed of life--rather than trying to
outpace it --and get ahead.. I have gotten as far in life as I want
to get---and have realized that "all his life a man climbs a ladder
to success, only to realize when he reaches the top, that it's been
leaning against the wrong wall..." --- That aside, with a technique--
without a technique-- I assure you that my communication skills are
consider top notch in the world---and that, in most cases, my
abilities to persuade, negotiate, argue, convince, etc; are more
effective and strong than those of individuals who have never
stuttered.. and yes, that's with a technique-- but again, not a
conscious technique-- just my new accent..
My life is wonderful and my communications in all scenarios are
BETTER than most fluent people :)
