Just wondering and asking

I understand that most of our Chinese American parents are pushing very hard our kids with their study, piano, aggressiveness, social activities and many more. I am just wondering whether we parents are pushing ourselves as hard as we push our kids. Or we just push ourselves to push our kids.
For instance, do we push ourselves hard enough to be a best employee at work as we push our kids to be best students at school? I do though I come here Education Site at my break. And I get excellent performance evaluation and promotion every year. At least, I am the best employee at home. I do all the housework of cooking, cleaning, shopping, and everything. Don’t believe it? Please ask my wife, my number one boss.
Do we yell at, screaming at, curse, or hit hu*****and, wife and our kids while we hope our kids with great personality and character? I don’t. As matter of fact, as a minority in my home, I try my very best to please them.
Are we parents aggressive enough with our social life as we hope our kids are? I guess that I am pretty aggressive, which some of the chatters have already realized though I never blame or curse other chatters with even a single bad word.
Do we have any interest in, or play or even watch piano performance, basketball, football, tennis, Kung Fu, Ping-Pong while we are pushing our kids with these? I do. I play tennis and ping-pong very well. I am very crazy about basketball and football. I even try to teach my wife and my daughters to watch these games. I am also pretty good at dancing and singing.
Are we involved community service when we hope that our kids be more active in the future? I do. I am the VP of our homeowner association for a pretty decent luxury single-family house community. I am doing an excellent job without a reward of penny. And my yard work is one of the best in our community.
Some of us parents don’t believe that others trust us as Americans no matter what. But do we try? For example, do we hang an American flag in front our house? I do, and I tell my kids that America is our country. We are Americans. We love America. How can our kids live in America if they don’t feel they are Americans?
Do we push ourselves with our English when we push our kids to improve their Chinese and English? I do. I listen to English channels and watch English TV while I am driving to work, waiting for my kids while they are in piano class. I keep improving my English by all means though I believe my English is pretty good.
I understand that we hope that our kids have great active, positive, optimism, cheerful, upbeat, pleasant, care, gentle, love, trust and responsible values, personalities and characters. But do we have these? Or are we trying to improve our personalities and characters with great values? If we do, why are some of our parents not even able to share different ideas, even in this Education Site? Why do some of our parents beat our kids? Why do some of our parents curse each at home, even in front of kids? And why do most of us push our kids too hard without pushing ourselves?
Some of our parents may say it is our job to push our kids, not push ourselves. Or it is too late for us as parents. Well, it is not necessarily true. Our behavior, personality, characters and values are very critical to our kids. We are their models. We still have at least twenty or thirty years before retirement. We have a lot to learn so that we can be better and better. A parent of thirty and forty is very young. We have much more to do rather than just pushing our kids. Am I right? It really depends how do we think. How can our kids are positive and active if we are not? Impossible.
Some of chatters may ask who the hell this NoWorry is and why he asks these damn questions? Well please don’t be mad just yet before thinking these questions carefully.
And also please don't get me wrong that I am showing off myself by saying, " I do". I simply want to share with you so that I can get some of your inputs. You know I want to be a super father rather than a great father. I am sure you too. I am a kind of person of always thinking, asking, learning and dreaming. If you think that my questions are out of mind, well, most of the time, I am talking while I am dreaming. But believe me that I am a great dreamer. That's why I was able to come to America as humble and poor country boy from Mainland China.
Thanks for reading my message while I am dreaming.
