Day 1 (6/22/2010):
Flight to Salt Lake City, pick up car (priceline bid AVIS, $13 per day, full size)
lodge: SLC airport hotel
Day 2:
Shop Walmart (350 West Hope Ave, SLC, UT 84115), 15N->89->26, visit Bear Lake;
arrived at Jackson in the afternoon, visit George Washington Memorial Park (鹿角公园)6:00pm cowboy performance
Drive I89 to Grand Teton NP; Stop at some view points, sunset at Jackson Lake lodge lobby
lodage Colter Bay Tent Village Cabin
Day 3:
Check in Jenny Lake camp site
Drive on Teton Park Road to Jenny Lake, Jenny Lake Scenic Drive; Took boat across Jenny Lake, hike to Hidden Falls, Inspiration Point, part of Cascade Canyon Trail, hike south part of Jenny Lake back to parking lot
Signal Mountain road closed; vist Jackson Lake Dam (lots of mosquitoes)
Camping at Jenny Lake camp site
Day 4:
Drive south to Moose visitor center
Drive to Signal Moutain(lots of mosquitoes)
Drive to Yellow Stone. Visited West Thumb, followed a ranger.
Took shower/Meal at Fishing Bridage
lodge at Bridage Bay camp site
Day 5:
Went to Old Faithful, hike lower Geysers, midle and Upper Geysers
Traffic jam to west entrance, saw lots of Bison
passed Norris Geyser, nobody wanted to see more Geysers.
Back to Bridge Bay Camp site
Day 6:
Grand Canyon, hike Uncle Tom's Trail, South rim: Artist Point, North rim: Inspiration Point
Drive to Tower Falls,
Drive to Northeast entrance, beautiful view at Lamar Valley, many animals
Dinner at Canyon cafeteria, good one pass buffet
Bridge Bay Camp site
Day 7:
Visit Norris, Mommoth Hot Springs, Petrified tree
Out North entrance to Waterton-Glacier NP287
lodge at Augusta town (one street small town)
Day 8:
Arrived at Glacier NP, check in Rising Sun Campground
Drive Going-to-the-Sun road (under construction), Stopped at Wild Goose Island lookout
Logan Pass still has big snow, Hidden Lake still frozen, Hidden Lake trail still covered with big snow
Arrived at Lake McDonald
Drive back before 9:00pm, construction part of road close at 9:00pm Mon-Thur
From 7/1, there are shuttle services on the Going-to-the-Sun road.
Eat at Rising Sun, Camping at Rising sun
Day 9:
Drive Chief Mountain International Hwy to Waterton Lakes, pass Canada custom Visitor center, visited Prince of Wales hotel lobby, the town and Cameron Falls
Drive Akamina Parkway to Cameron Lake, hike around the Cameron Lake
Drive Red Rock Parkway, good canyon view on the road, road after the cliff where ancient Indian drove Bisons down the cliff was closed, needs to take shuttle from visitor center, didn't get chance to hike Red Rock Canyon Loop Trail.
Back to USA, view Chief Mountain, drive to Many Glaciers
Eat at Many Glacier hotel, very slow service
Camping at Rising sun
Day 10:
Go to Many Glaciers hotel, hike around Lake Swiftcurrent lake and Josephine Lake, to Grinnell Glacier (5miles x2), fatastic scenery!
Back to Rising sun eat, set campfile,
visited Wild goose island view point and Sun Point at sunset time
Back to Rising Run camp site
Day 11:
Big rain from early morning to 9:00am
Took pics of "smoky mountains"
Drove to SLC
Lodge at Idaho Falls
Day 12:
Arrived at SLC, (drive Legecy parkway), visit Temple Square, south visitor center, the Conference Center Roof garden etc
eat at 川香园Szechuan Garden 1275 E 8600 S Sandy, UT 84094 (夫妻肺片good)
lodge Downtown Red Lion
Day 13 (7/4/10, Sunday):
