1. A new chapter starts today. Genesis can be divided into the following sections:
- Prehistorical time, ch.1-11, including creation, fall, flood, Babel
- Patriarch time, ch.12-36, including Abraham, Isaac, Jacob
- 12 tribes of Israel, ch. 37-50, mainly Joseph
Stories about Joseph are amazing. I can't wait to read it.
Today there are two things that made me think:
A. Judah & Tamar. Things they did seemed very odd to me. Mike put it in the correct way -- this made me look deeply into my own heart. Before I question their behavior, maybe I should question myself. There are so many things that I did were 10 times worse.
B. Being honest (or at most a little bit proud) almost put Joseph to death.
Tough material to read.
2. Jesus proclaimed his true identity and predicted his resurrection after 3-day death. He is the son of God!
3. "You have made known to me the path of life;
you will fill me with joy in your presence,
with eternal pleasures at your right hand." -- yes, please strengthen me with your word.
4. "Do not"s, as important as "Do"s, are something that I don't follow everyday.

约瑟长大，他是诚实蒙福的孩子，遭哥哥们嫉妒，被卖到埃及为奴。
灵修版里一段注释很有意思，是我不曾想到的，即雅各自己在过去犯罪的事实上要承担责任和报应---
37:31-37:35 约瑟的哥哥们为掩饰自己的恶行，就欺骗父亲，使他以为约瑟已经死了。雅各曾经多次欺骗别人，也包括他的父亲（参27:35）。他虽然蒙神祝福，但仍然要面对犯罪的报应。雅各欺骗别人，神没有即时惩罚他，但他始终要承受犯罪的恶果，这恶果将一直伴随著他的余生。
马太福音 12:22-12:45
1）耶稣医病赶鬼行神迹，法利赛人却说他是靠鬼赶鬼，耶稣有力地驳斥了他们，并说“人一切的罪，和亵渎的话，都可得赦免。惟独亵渎圣灵，总不得赦免。 ”-- 我想若人亵渎圣灵，本身也无法靠圣灵从罪里得救，当然罪就无法被赦免。
2）善人从他心里所存的善，就发出善来。恶人从他心里所存的恶，就发出恶来。。。。要凭你的话定你为义，也要凭你的话，定你有罪。--- 言从心生，我们要有洁净和敬虔的心，才能发出荣神益人的话语。末世审判时要以我们的话语来审判，我们在世时可一定要求神保守我们的言行啊！
3）污鬼离开人后带领更多的鬼进入那已经清空的人的房间里。这是叫人警醒的比喻--若我们的心灵只是被清空，而没有被真理的圣灵充满，那么就给邪灵留了地步，一切邪灵都可以占据我们的心灵，这是极其危险的！求神的慈爱和公义充满我们，填补和医治我们心灵的破口。
诗篇 16:1-16:11
神啊，这也是我的祷告--
神阿，求你保佑我，因为我投靠你。
你是我的主。我的好处不在你以外。
神啊，谢谢你看我是又美又善，是你最喜悦的。
耶和华是我的产业，你使我的心欢喜，我的灵快乐。
神啊，谢谢你！因你必将生命的道路指示我。
在你的面前有满足的喜乐。

在人显着的失败中，神得着最完全的胜利。
亲爱的，今天在你的生活中若是正有一个极大的试炼，不要气馁，自认失败，仍要继续用信心藉着那能使你得胜有余的主宣告胜利，荣耀的胜利立刻就要来了。我们应当知道：在一切神应许我们进入的艰难中，神在替我们造成机会，使我们在他里面学习信心的功课，藉着主基督夸胜，大大荣耀他自己的名。

1. I think honesty wins God's praise, but there are different ways, which lead to totally different results. :)
2. "Right hand" in Hebrew ritual means more superior.
To comment on your comments: Thanks for the observation of *our* ways of reading bible. I don't think you need to change. Just pick a comfortable way and keep going -- the ultimate goal is to be strong enough to stick to our schedule and finish the whole bible in one year. I am sure something wonderful will happen in our lives by the end of 2007! Do you believe?
Q: Sorry, I forgot who was Joseph's mom?
-- This is the first time I read Joseph's story. It made me think about "honest". Joseph was very honest to tell the truth in his dream. He was almost killed by this honest. How should we deal with this in our everyday life?

真高兴有机会和你们一起学习圣经。过去的模式是我们读提问题，牧师解答或导读。但这半个月我们是一起同步学习的。在学习交流的过程中，我注意到了你们基督徒学习的思路和落脚点有别于我这个非基督徒：）。我主要是读书，读历史读故事。你们则是把它作为一个生活的准则，一种精神的食粮。思考的角度也就不一样了。你们每天读后都会对照自己的言行，从而调整自己。。。。这对我很有启发！和你们分享一下我对你们学习方法的感受！
Psalm: Like this verse:
LORD, you have assigned me my portion and my cup; you have made my lot secure.
-------Enjoy and appreciate what we have today, they are all from God!
Provers: I feel today's reading is special for me. Yesterday I accused somebody for no reasons...... :) God instructed me with his words! Gained a lot from today's reading.
First impression is that parents shouldn't treat children differently which will cause troubles in the future. And the teenage Joseph(I guess) was not wise enough to tell his dreams!
Don't like the story about Judah but agree with Timothy and Mike's comments.
