Re: Service request on Pending I-485 with receipt# [ #LIN-01-234-56789 ]
Dear USCIS:
I am writing to you in regard to my I-485 application, which has been pending currently at your office.
The Adjustment Application was filed, based on an I-140 petition in [ EB-1 ] category with a Priority Date of [ mm/dd/yyyy ]. Per Visa Bulletin of Department of State, the Priority Date of my Adjustment Application is current. However, the FBI Name Check was still pending, [ since mm/dd/yyyy, ] according to
[ what the senator's office informed me
the written notice received from USCIS
a response to First Lady on my behalf from FBI
the information obtained at Infopass
the updates from a phonecall to your office ]
[ lately / dated on mm/dd/yyyy ], and resulted in being unadjudicable of my Adjustment Application.
Recently USCIS revised relevant guidance to state that "Where the application is otherwise approvable and the FBI name check request has been pending for more than 180 days, the adjudicator shall approve the I-485, I-601, I-687, or I-698 and proceed with card issuance." which makes my Adjustment Application eligible to be adjudicated, although my FBI Name Check may have not been completed yet.
Therefore I would like to request my I-485 Adjustment Application to be adjudicated, per above USCIS new guidance, at your earliest convenience.
Please find detailed information below.

A#: [ A 099-99-9999 ]
SSN#: [ 123-45-6789 ]

Your assistance is appreciated.

Re: CCP Membership
In July XXXX, the last year of my college education, the English Department of the University recommended me for Communist Party Membership. I decided to accept the invitation to join the Communist Party. I was awarded CP membership because I had been one of the best students in my class throughout my college life. In China, enrollment by CP is a reward for good performance, as well as for excellence in extra curricular activities and helping other students. CP membership makes it easier for a fresh graduate to get a good job in state-owned enterprises. So, in all my classmates’ minds, the recommendation for CP membership was not only recognition of excellent performance, but also would be a big help for job hunting after graduation. It was with the hope for a better job, that I accepted the recommendation and joined the CP before I left the University.
I have never been an active member of the CP, worked on any committee, attended any meetings or endorsed Chinese CP policies. In fact, I have just barely maintained the membership.During the first 3 years after my graduation my membership dues were deducted automatically from my pay check. After 1999, I stopped paying the CP membership dues and was thus been deprived of the membership 8 years ago.
