Itinerary: Beijing -> Nanjing -> Suzhou -> Shanghai


In late Oct, while I was thinking where we should go for Thanksgiving, an idea came to me. It has been almost two years since our last visit to China, why don't we go back to China around Thanksgiving. To make the trip more interesting, I planned to stay 4 days in Beijing where my parents live, 4 days in Nanjing where my aunt, uncle and two cousins live, 4 days in Suzhou, 3 days in Shanghai, and come back from Shanghai after the Thanksgiving holiday.

With that in mind, I got on nwa.com and checked for flights. The multi-city award flights we needed were available for only 60,000 miles per person, same as regular roundtrip flights to Asia. After checking with Dave and the bosses, I booked the flights the next day. I was so excited, couldn't wait for the trip to start.
