伍佰每次在演唱会上唱起这首歌的国语版：爱你一万年，总使我愈发想念第一次听英文原曲时的感动。
搜寻经年，发现这首歌应该不是美国流传过来的，因为在美国的流行音乐资料里始终查不到这首歌，根据不十分肯定的消息来源指出，它原来是日本人写的。
这首英文歌的演唱者是香港的温拿五虎合唱团，其中两位主唱就是後来十分走红的锺镇涛（阿B）及谭咏麟（阿伦）。
虽然是东方人唱英文歌，咬字及诠释却是不遑多让，是目前为止首选的版本。
